James joined Hirsch and Ehlenberger in
November 2006 after working for the Office of the Public
Defender in Loudoun County, where he received invaluable
trial experience. He is a member of the Family Law section
of both the Fairfax Bar Association and the Virginia State
Bar. He is also an associate member of the Loudoun Bar
Association. He has served as a Fairfax court guide, a trial
mentor for the Loudoun Law Camp, and is currently on the
Fairfax Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court
Committee.
After graduating from the University of Virginia in 1999
with a B.A. in English, James taught elementary and middle
school students for two years. He also taught high school
students in Lugano, Switzerland at The American School in
Switzerland for one year prior to beginning his career as a
lawyer.
Born in Athens, Greece, James has lived in the northern
Virginia area since 1981.
